There is a woman who treasures her time alone.

Much of it is spent walking, especially in the mornings before dawn. Aside from reading and writing, walking is one of her favourite ways to unwind.

She is drawn to nature, so parks often become her place of retreat. She notices the trees, the changing light, the quietness around her. Sometimes she simply watches the day turn into night.

But these walks are about more than fresh air.

They give her space to think.

To consider the qualities within herself that still need to be honed. The habits she no longer wants to carry. Her character, her actions, her intentions and the way she moves through the world.

She questions her own beliefs too, because knowing what she truly stands for matters to her.

One question returns often:

“Are you happy with your life?”

It is not a question she answers casually.

She searches herself for the truth.

There is no desire to live a lie or simply settle for a life that looks acceptable from the outside. She wants to understand herself well enough to know what feels right, what no longer fits and what needs to change.

Perhaps this is why self-reflection matters so much.

Life is too precious to simply keep moving without ever stopping to consider where our choices are taking us.

Every so often, we need to ask ourselves:

What is working?

What isn’t?

What should remain?

What needs to change?

And what simply needs to be chucked out?

A woman who makes time to reflect begins to know herself differently.

She becomes more thoughtful about her choices, more aware of her patterns and, hopefully, a little wiser about the life she wants to live.
