We should be inspired by everything around us like creation, sounds, smell, taste, etc. We should be on a lookout for new experiences. It is powerful what a little awareness and gratitude can do for our mood and make our day bright.
We all yearn to be happy and to be in good health. Our definition of happiness and success may differ, but there is one thing we all have in common and that is we cannot control much of what happens to us.
We are not completely helpless when it comes to taking control of our everyday life. The truth is the happiness and the good health we so yearn for are within us. To enjoy life to the fullest, we need to open our eyes up to the treasures within and celebrate it. Only then will we be in the right frame of mind to be on top of whatever comes our way.
When the unexpected comes and knock us for six, we have the choice to remain firm and focus on the things we can control of:-
Breath – learn to take deep, slow breaths, the body reacts in many positive ways particularly in times of stress.
Attitude – a positive attitude helps us cope more easily with the daily affairs of life. A good attitude makes us personable. In a nutshell, it makes us happier and more resilient.
Perceptions – Avoid being overly negative and pessimistic. We need to challenge our abilities and take risks. Always hope for the best.
Reactions – No situation should get the better of us. It’s ok to have our moment, but it must not run into hours, let alone days!. No one can tell us about ourselves. Another person’s words or behaviour does not define us.
Laughter – Is a medicine – It gives the mind and body a reset and forces us into moments of joy. It is uplifting, energising, and calming. Why should we not create time for laughter?
