Let It Go.

It can be a struggle letting go of things we love that somehow no longer serve us. It is a human tendency to form attachment to people, places, the past, dreams, emotions, etc and letting go of such things becomes a difficult because doing so means facing reality.

The hardest is letting go of something that we had believed was going to last forever. Many of us are suffering from holding onto certain things in our life for fear they will not be replaced if we let go. We hold on because we have invested so much, but the truth of the matter is there are higher costs for holding on.

If we can pay heed to life’s way of prompting our awareness to the things that are draining us mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually, we would save ourselves a lot of heartaches. Deliverance comes when we accept the truth about the areas in our life that provide no personal growth; those areas that are making us unhappy and unfulfilled. Oftentimes we hold onto the same things because we find it hard to believe that greater things awaits us outside of our comfort zone.

Letting go starts with gratitude. We express gratitude for the experience, and the lessons we have been taught by the things we must let go. All experiences have a purpose to helps us learn and grow. So we should simply appreciate it for the purpose it has served in its time as we let it go.

We can then give our attention to the other things we have going on in our life, as we make way for new circumstances that will provide us with a sense of joy, peace and fulfilment. When one door closes, it gives the opportunity for the possibilities which lies ahead.

Letting go of things that no longer serve a purpose is a process. It is about taking small steps, one day at a time to:-

Let go of negative thoughts.

Let go of old perspectives.

Let go of resentment.

Let go of negative people.

Let go of fear.

Let go of resentment.

Life is about creating as many experiences as possible. It is never too late to be awesome!
