Alone Times

Alone Times

Most of my alone time is spent going for walks. This is when I take the time to notice and admire my surroundings.

I cherish my alone times. I reflect on my life. I reflect on my qualities that needs to be hone and habits I no longer wish to encourage. I reflect on my character, my actions, and my intentions as well my behaviours. I challenge my beliefs. I want to know who I am and what I truly stand for.

“Are you happy with your life?” is a question I frequently ask myself. Always I search my soul for an honest answer. I refuse to live a lie. I refuse to live a mediocre life. It is essential I understand myself enough to allow my instinct to guide me.

It is a good habit, taking the time to reflect on the results of one’s decisions and actions. Life is too important a gift to live it anyhow, moving and pushing through blindly without taking the time to reflect. How on earth can one just keep going without ever stopping to reflect upon one’s endeavours.

No, I owe to myself to make time for self – reflection. I need to be aware of what is working and what is not working, what to keep, what to change and what to chuck out.

I have become more thoughtful as a result this habit and I reckon I make better decisions as well.

Thank you for reading.

Great post 👍👍. Having some ‘me’ time and remaining in solitude is very necessary to bring out and nourish our inner self.

Hi Nitesh, I know right! Janet has her way in words! Exactly, solitude is essential to bring out our inner selves! I learned a lot about myself when I’m alone and have time to collect my thoughts.

Yes, I observe the same benefits with myself when I am in solitutude. I focus better, I think better and I write better when I am in solitude, away from all the distractions.
